Packing Day Information

Packing day happens May 21 from 11:30 – 2:30 on the Art Center courtyard. Representatives from Middletown Self Storage will be set up at a central location with a variety of packing supplies and boxes available for sale to students (even if the student is not storing) Reps will also have plenty of information about private storage and other packing supplies which are available at our Aquidneck Avenue location. U-Haul truck rental reservations can be made at that time through our on-site representatives.

Rules For Storing

Items that cannot be stored: anything liquid, flammable, explosive, perishable (NO FOOD!), illegal, hazardous, toxic, living or dead.
Boxes are rated for maximum weight capacity (listed alongside each box size on the price list) and should not be over loaded. Overweight boxes will be subject to additional charges.
Mini fridges must be cleaned inside, defrosted and drained of any remaining water. Other appliances must be cleaned of any food residue or liquid.
Rugs, Sofas, all upholstered furniture must be clean, pest-free and dry before storage.
All Storage orders must be placed and paid for two weeks prior to moving date, late orders will be subject to availability.

Climate Controlled GROUP Storage:
(prices include pick up, delivery and communal storage for three months)

Small box: 16”x 12”x 12” (1.5 cu. ft.) fill it with up to 20 lbs. of stuff $10.00
Medium Box: 18” x 18” x 16” (3.0 cu. ft.) fill it with up to 30 lbs. of stuff $15.00
Large Box: 18” x 18” x 24” (4.5 cu. ft.) fill it with up to 35 lbs. of stuff $20.00
Specialty Boxes: mirror box, lamp box, sport utility box, electronics box (call for details) $15.00
Loveseat: up to 60” long $50.00
Sofa or Futon: up to 80” long, (no sleep sofas) $65.00
Upholstered Chair: up to 36” long $40.00
Bicycle: (non-motorized) $25.00
Mini Fridge or Desk Chair : approx. 20” x 20’ x 34” $25.00
Rolled up Rug: up to 72” roll $12.00
Padlock for Storage Crate: $11.77
Lock for Storage Unit: $9.62

Climate Controlled PRIVATE Storage:

Storage Crate with your lock: approx. 3’ x 3’ x 3’ (includes pick up, delivery and storage for the summer) $150.00
5’ x 5’ x 4’ storage unit (does not include pickup & delivery, additional fees apply) $165.00
5’ x 5’ x 8’ storage unit (does not include pickup and delivery, additional fees apply) $270.00

Climate Controlled GROUP Storage:

Items not listed here should be packed properly and measured. Then you should find an item on the list that is a comparable size and pay that amount. Adjustments may be made once we see the item on moving day.

NOTE: Middletown Self Storage LLC assumes no liability for damages due to non-compliance with the above rules. We reserve the right to refuse any item not in compliance with the above rules. Low cost insurance is available from Mid-dletown Self Storage for coverage of allowed stored items.
